Nurse TrainingVeterinary nurses are key members of a veterinary practice. Their training relies on a number of practices, which have become Associated Training Practices. Not all the practical skills, in which student veterinary nurses are expected to become competent, can be always acquired in the practice and sometimes it may be necessary to gain experience on competence outside the practice environment.

An example of this is laboratory work. Vetlab runs a Nurse Training Programme based on the National Occupational Standards and the Veterinary Nurse’s Syllabus for all those Veterinary Nurse students interested in gaining practical skill in laboratory work.
